The rest of the VR-400UHD’s surface is loaded with comprehensive backlit tactile controls engineered for efficient referencing and command while under pressure. The right side of the panel is where you’ll find all the physical controls for your video workflow. Here, you’ll be able to make better sense of transition, keying, and sizing commands, complete with an ultra-responsive Positioner joystick and more. In contrast, the left side of the panel is your physical haven for all things audio. With access to individual and main faders for Mic, Line, USB, and HDMI sources, device leveling is streamlined and arrayed for a familiar feel.

The VR-400UHD comes complete with some seriously in-depth scene control functions. As they’re recorded, you can save up to eight scenes per bank (64 total) and recall as needed to build stream-ready compositions that will gleam with professionalism. But beyond just monitoring and selecting scenes, the VR-400UHD allows you to create dual picture-in-picture and key layer displays against your backdrop of choice, which is the perfect tool for interviews, call-ins, and more. All this as you’re livestreaming! The same goes for compositing DSK images, offering easy-to-implement independent display for graphics, headlines, and other stills necessary for your stream audience. It’s also compliant with Region of Interest (ROI) to make angle simulations of your singular 4K feed readily available for up to eight uniquely cropped results. PGM/PST mode lets you instantly switch back and forth between your created composites with exciting transitions like cuts, dissolves, and wipes.
Masterful onboard audio mixer
On top of its impressive video mixing functionality, the VR-400UHD also offers stellar 14-channel audio mixing built right into the unit. On the rear of the mixer, you’ve got input connections for four XLR/TRS combo jacks equipped with premium preamps and phantom power, plus two additional TRS inputs and two RCA input pairs. You can even mix captured audio from your connected USB and HDMI sources.
